Effective Date: March 28, 2026
Welcome to Generative CAD Services Limited (GCAD). This Warranty and Refund Policy governs the sale, distribution, and provision of hardware, software, and services by GCAD. It is designed to be read in conjunction with our overarching Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Cookie Policy. By engaging our services, enrolling in our academy, or purchasing our products, you agree to the terms outlined below.
In the event of any conflict between this Warranty and Refund Policy and our general Terms and Conditions, the general Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
As a digital-manufacturing and product-development partner, GCAD proudly serves as an authorised distributor, reseller, and learning partner for global technology leaders. Our warranty and refund frameworks are strictly aligned with the overarching policies of our original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and software publishers. These partners include:
Flashforge — Official Distributor, West Africa
Voltera — Authorised Reseller
Dassault Systèmes — Direct Partner, Nigeria & Ghana. Publishers of SolidWorks Design and related engineering ecosystems.
Autodesk — Authorised Reseller and Learning Partner
When you purchase a partner product through GCAD, you are also bound by their respective End User License Agreements (EULAs), Terms of Service, and OEM warranty constraints.
All 3D printers, PCB printers, and digital manufacturing hardware distributed by GCAD are covered by the respective OEM's standard limited warranty (typically 12 months from the delivery date, subject to specific manufacturer terms). This covers defects in materials and workmanship under standard operational use.
The warranty explicitly excludes normal wear-and-tear items and consumables. For 3D printing and rapid prototyping equipment, this includes, but is not limited to: extruders, nozzles, build plates, PTFE tubes, conductive inks, solder paste, and filaments. Any unauthorized modifications, improper maintenance, or use of unapproved third-party materials will immediately void the warranty.
Standard hardware returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery exclusively if the equipment is strictly unboxed, unused, and in its original, sealed packaging. A 15% restocking fee applies to all eligible returns, and the buyer assumes full responsibility for return shipping logistics and costs.
Should a machine fail to power on or arrive critically damaged upon delivery, you must notify GCAD within 48 hours of receipt. For verified DOA units, GCAD will cover the return freight costs and facilitate a replacement claim without incurring additional charges to the client.
For valid warranty claims made after the initial 48-hour DOA window, the customer is responsible for the shipping logistics and freight costs to return the defective unit or component to the designated GCAD service centre. GCAD (or the respective OEM) will cover the return shipping of the repaired or replaced unit back to the customer.
Digital design and engineering tools are provided "as is." All software performance, capabilities, and warranties are completely governed by the EULA of the respective publisher (e.g., Dassault Systèmes or Autodesk). GCAD provides no independent warranty regarding software functionality.
All software sales are final.
Due to the irrevocable nature of digital licensing, once a perpetual license, software subscription, or subscription renewal for SolidWorks Design, an Autodesk product, or any other digital tool has been activated, provisioned, or assigned to a user's account, it is strictly non-refundable and cannot be returned, prorated, or exchanged under any circumstances. The sole exception is if a verifiable technical failure on the part of the publisher prevents the initial successful assignment of the license.
We guarantee that custom-manufactured parts will match the dimensional specifications of the submitted CAD files within standard commercial tolerances for the chosen process. However, GCAD does not warrant fitness for a particular end-use application.
Clients must inspect custom-manufactured parts immediately upon receipt and report any dimensional inaccuracies or physical defects to GCAD within 5 business days of delivery. Claims made after this inspection window will not be eligible for a reprint, remedy, or credit.
If a manufactured part fails to meet the guaranteed dimensional tolerances due to a machine calibration or fabrication error by GCAD, and is reported within the inspection window, we will, at our sole discretion, either reprint the part at no additional cost or issue a partial/full credit.
Orders are non-refundable once production has commenced.
Because fabrication services produce custom goods, cancellations made prior to production will be refunded less any engineering, consulting, or file-preparation fees already incurred.
Registration fees for GCAD Academy courses, STEAM education workshops, and corporate training programs are fully refundable if cancelled at least 7 days before the scheduled start date. Once the program has commenced, all deposits and registration fees become non-refundable.
In the course of processing a warranty claim, return, or technical support request, GCAD will collect relevant personal and technical information. In accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023, the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) 2019, and our internal Privacy Policy, this data is securely stored and processed strictly for dispute resolution, troubleshooting, and manufacturer verification.
This Warranty and Refund Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Nigerian courts, as detailed in our primary Terms and Conditions.
To initiate a warranty claim, report a DOA unit, or request a refund evaluation, please contact our support team, providing your invoice number, equipment serial number, and clear photographic/video evidence of the issue.
