Providing the technical infrastructure for Africa’s institutions and industries to innovate.
Democratising world-class design and manufacturing capabilities for Africa’s institutions and industries to innovate, educate, and build.
Generative CAD Services Limited (GCAD) is Africa’s premier product development and digital manufacturing partner. We exist to democratize access to world-class design, engineering, and manufacturing capabilities, bridging critical infrastructure and skills gaps to empower the continent’s innovators, educators, and industries. Through our end-to-end "idea-to-impact" workflow, we provide the localised technical foundation necessary for modern industrialisation and technical excellence.
Every institution and enterprise we partner with operates within a unique strategic context. We move beyond technical execution to begin with the "Why." Through rigorous discovery, stakeholder engagement, and deep needs analysis, we align our solutions with your specific mission, whether you are a startup refining a first-of-its-kind prototype, a corporation scaling high-volume production, or a university faculty cultivating the next generation of African engineers.
Our integrated methodology spans the entire product lifecycle, from conceptualisation and generative design to advanced simulation, validation, and on-demand manufacturing. As the official West African distributor for Flashforge and an authorised partner for SolidWorks (Dassault Systèmes), Autodesk, and Voltera, we blend global industry standards with hands-on execution. By integrating immersive technologies such as digital twins, VR-enabled design reviews, and automated PCB prototyping, we ensure that every project phase is intentional, efficient, and aligned with sustainable value.
Empowering the Ecosystem We go beyond providing tools; we build capacity. Through industryaligned training programs, turnkey digital manufacturing labs, and specialised corporate workshops, we equip organisations with the practical skills and infrastructure required to thrive in the global market. From primary schools to multinational corporations, our mission remains constant: providing the technical infrastructure for Africa’s institutions and industries to innovate, educate, and build.
We're always ready to move mountains just to come through for our clients.
The product was designed in a collaborative workflow, leveraging Autodesk Inventor (which was used in designing the sheet metal enclosure).
Fusion 360 (was used for the 3d printing optimisation and slicing, and the design of all the plastic parts for 3D printing).
Fusion Team and Fusion Manage Pro were used to manage the project collaboration task and the product lifecycle of the product respectively.
The product was designed with Autodesk Inventor Professional. Before manufacturing, it was validated and stress-simulated for critical components in Autodesk Inventor Nastran.
Software like Autodesk Inventor Tolerance Analysis and Autodesk Inventor Nesting was also used to boost the product's manufacturability.
The product development workflow is a typical example of Autodesk D&M product collection integration.
